To Pooped to Party...

Today I had an appointment with my oncologist.  He said everything seems to be tracking along.  He did say he will call the surgeons to see if they can move up my surgery date.  Because we are trying to schedule 2 surgeons for the same date, it's a little more difficult.  Anyway we will see what happens, for now my surgery is scheduled for July 12th.  While I was there I got my port flushed out, it was nice to see my oncologist nurse, Sally.  I brought by some oatmeal cookies to the chemo patients (courtesy of HPSJ) who seemed to really appreciate them. It was packed today, they were busy!

It seems these past few days I've had no energy.  I feel like I can lay down and just sleep.  Which I will probably do after I post this blog.

Hope everyone has a nice week!

God's timing is perfect...

God's timing is perfect is what I need to keep repeating to myself.  My surgery is set for July 12th!  When I first heard that date, I have to say I was little disappointed that it is a month and half away.  But God has a plan and I'm here to follow it.  So lets go!

Overall I'm feeling better, but I think these past few days I may have over done it.  Yesterday was not that great of a day.  Today, I'm hoping is a little better.

Tomorrow i will be seeing my oncologist. We will probably discuss my progress and go over my remaining side effects of the chemo.  I will also get my port flushed out, which you need to do every 4 weeks if your not using it.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Busy Busy Busy!

Stayed with mom this weekend and will go home on Monday.  Mom is doing good, she sleeps most of day.

Monday I will go into work for a half day.  This week I will be meeting with my surgeon and oncologist.  Hopefully, I will have my surgery date sometime this week.  I'll keep you posted.

I started walking tonight so I can regain my strength.  I get fatigue quickly, I need to build my resistance back.  The walk was refreshing.

Today was Pentecost Sunday.  Even though I wasn't able to attend Mass I spent quiet time meditating on the Holy Spirit and how His grace is helping me through this journey.

When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly a sound came from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed and resting on each one of them.  Acts 2:1-3
