World Champions!!! New Orleans Saints!!!

Oh my goodness, I am beyond excited about the fact that the New Orleans Saints beat the Colts to win the Superbowl.    Okay, I have to review what I felt were the highlights of the game were...

Unsong Hero - Garrett Hartley who kicked 3 field goals each over 40 plus yards to keep the Saints alive in the first half of the game.

The Onside Kick in the 3rd Quarter that surpised us all when the Saints came up with the ball.  Oh my gosh that was a fantastic play!

Drew Brees completed 38 out of 42 passes.  Unbelieveable!  2 Touch down passes.

The nail in the coffin - Interception for a touchdown by Tracy Porter.

It was a nail biter and a great game.  I was just so happy that the Saints made it to the Superbowl, for them to win is beyond anything.  New Orleans and the whole gulf coast is gonna remember this game forever.  I know I sure will.

Groundhog Day

Yesterday, I visited my surgeon who said he spoke with my oncologist who are advising that I need 12 more weeks of Chemo before my surgery.  The tumor has shrunk but it's less than average than they'd like.     The next treatment I will receive is a drug named Taxol, which has less side effects.  I will received 12 treatments once a week.  The treatments last around 1-2 hours.  I will probably find out what side effects I will endure during the 1-2 weeks of treatment.  A lot of people who have received this type of treatment say the side effects are not that bad.  Let's pray thats true for me.

Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power.  Ephesians 6:10

On another note, my sister Tina's father inlaw passed away early this week.  I pray that his soul enters the kingdom of heaven on angels wings.

Also, the Confirmation Retreat is this weekend and pray the Holy Spirit reigns in each heart in a very special way.  So many people work so hard to put on this retreat for the kids, it's really a sacrifice of love.

So the past couple of days my mom has been staying with me, Jack has been taking care of both of us.  He's so patient and caring.  (poor guy).

Hugs and blessings to All!

Hanging Out...

Just been hanging out with my mom this week at my house.  I still have some of the side effects of my last chemo, but every day its better.   But I'm hanging in there.

My Catholic faith, family and friends have been extremely comforting during this trying time.  As a Catholic, we believe in the Communion of Saints so not only are you praying for me, but the Saints and my family in heaven on praying for me too.  So comforting you have no idea.

Looking forward to the superbowl this weekend!  Jack and I will be glued to the TV that's for sure!  Geaux Saints!

Hugs and blessings to All!
